Suicide at Niagara falls

A man survived an attempt to kill himself by jumping over the falls today.  Survival is rare enough - he became the first person to survive the plunge without a safety device or life jacket - but this guy was so intent on doing the job he battled his rescuers for 45 minutes before getting overpowered and then arrested. Apparently he smiled at onlookers as was washed down the river toward the falls.  For his efforts he'll get charged by Canadian Police with illegally performing a stunt - an act that carries a maximum 10,000-dollar penalty.

This guy wasn't so lucky.  I love the statement at the end of the video - "Suicide is a serious illness..."!!!!
